As Woodfield School is designated as a specialist provision, pupils are only admitted to the school after a request for a placement from the Local Authority. In order for a placement request to be submitted, the pupil must have an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan). Unfortunately we are not able to admit pupils who are not in possession of this documentation.
Children and parents/carers are advised to visit the appropriate Woodfield site prior to admission. In order to arrange a visit, a request can be made with the relevant SENCo:
- Kate Parker (Primary) kparker1@woodfieldschool.net
- Neil Franklin (Secondary) neilfranklin@woodfieldschool.net
The school currently offers 155 student places for students aged 5-16 years, these places are spread across our 3 sites within the city. Coventry Local Authority manages the admission of students to the school though parents and carers are welcome to visit the school to discuss suitability of placement. Oversubscriptions will also be dealt with by Coventry Local Authority.
Most of our students are resident in Coventry but we also admit students from neighbouring local authorities – Warwickshire, Solihull etc, If you would like to visit the school to discuss suitability of placement please contact the relevant SENCo on the email address above, or alternatively call the school on 02476 462335.
